Jungle Jollies presents various fine motor skills and eye-hand coordination challenges for baby’s use of her fingers and palms: - Baby pulls the giraffe from the flower base with the magnet and learns to put it back in place.
- Shakes the giraffe.
- Grasps it with one hand and pulls its feet with the other.
- Turns the flower to the right and to the left.
- Grasps the leaves and presses them in order to hear the crinkly sounds.
- Practices the pincer grasp as she tries to move the inner leaf with two fingers in order to discover the insects that are hiding there, or to grasp the stamen.
- This is how baby finds different ways of using her palms and fingers and understanding the connection between her eyes and her hands.
Cognition Baby develops her curiosity, her ability to explore and the learns the connections between her actions and their results by performing various activities: - She turns the leaves to the right and to the left
- Pulls the giraffe from its flower base and places it back
- Discovers which leaves rustle and where the little insects are hiding
- Explores the giraffe and discovers its stretched out legs and the sound of the bell.
Object Permanence - Baby discovers the little insects (a beetle and a butterfly) hiding between two of the leaves and learns how to reveal and hide them there. This is how she learns about object permanence.
